Managing Files: Moving, copying and deleting files

Moving, copying and deleting files

To move, copy or delete images you first select the images you want to process by checking the check box, and then select the operation from the Checked menu.

How to check a picture

If you are working with the file list on the left-hand side of the window, you can check and uncheck the current file using the Space Bar.
If you are renaming using the right-hand side of the window, you can check and uncheck using Control-T, or select Toggle from the Checked menu. Toggle switches between checked and unchecked.
To check or uncheck all the pictures in the list, select Check All or Uncheck All from the menu.

Processing selected pictures

The group of checked pictures can be moved, copied or deleted. To process the checked pictures, select the desired option from the Checked menu.

Text file processing

Text files are normally moved, copied or deleted along with the image file they refer to. There is special processing if there are multiple images with the same name, eg image.tiff and image.jpg. For details, see the section about Adding Information in Text Files.
