Getting Started: Description - Main Window - Working With Images - Navigation - Editing Images - Entering your licence key
The left-hand side of the Picnam window lists all the image files in the current directory. You can work up and down through this list using the arrow keys.
The right-hand side of the window shows the currently selected picture and has the controls for renaming the picture and entering text. When there is text associated with a picture or you move the cursor to the Text area, the text box is enlarged to allow you to see more of the text. If there is no text, the box shrinks to one line to allow as much space as possible for the picture.
The Prev and Next buttons advance to the previous and next folders. Refresh reloads the list of files in the current directory.

The list of images can be displayed as thumbnails or Details view. Details view shows the filename, file size, the date the file was last modified and the date from the EXIF data if the image includes it. Click on the column headings to sort the files by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order.
Note: The EXIF dates are loaded in the background and may take some time to load. Files whose dates haven't been loaded yet are sorted as if they have no date.

The various parts of the window can be resized to suit your preferences. The list of pictures can be enlarged to show more information, or even dragged to the left so it is practically invisible, giving maximum space for viewing the picture.
